ECLECTIC COMPETITION - CANCELED FOR 2021 & 2020
Spring Eclectic competition is March 1 through June 30. Summer Eclectic competition is July 1 through October 31. Eclectic scores may be posted on Tuesday and Friday when playing with Women’s Division members. Scores will be verified by checking against daily competition cards. Eclectics may also be posted during the Invitational, Best Ball Threesome and all Women’s Division tournaments if the hole is finished.
Scores may not be claimed for holes where temporary greens are in effect or for any holes when the hole is altered for special party competition. Handicaps in effect at the close of each competition period will be used to determine winners.
Awards for Eclectics: Prizes are awarded in each flight according to the percentage of each flight in relation to the total number of participants. An overall winner(s) may be awarded at the discretion of the Chair. Eclectic awards will be presented at the annual holiday party.
On Tuesdays and Fridays, there is a wooden box on the table near the Pro Shop. To participate, pay a $10 cash fee (for each season) to the Eclectic Chair. You can also clip it to the card. You can pay $20 for both seasons at the beginning. After your first eligible round, take a card and print your first and last name on the card and circle either spring or summer. List the date on the left side and your score by hole across the top. Each time you play, list the date and the score for any holes where your score has improved.
MAXIMUM HOLE SCORE FOR HANIDCAP PURPOSES
Rule 3.1b - For a player with an established Handicap Index, the maximum score for each hole played is limited to a net double bogey, calculated as follows:
PAR OF HOLE + 2 STROKES + ANY HANDICAP STROKE(S) THAT THE PLAYER RECEIVES ON THAT HOLE*
(*or minus any handicap stroke(s) that a plus handicap player gives back on that hole.)
For Example; a player with an 18 course handicap:
Par (4) + Two Strokes (2) + Stroke(s) received (1) = Max Score (7)
