MONTHLY MEDAL COMPETITION
Total Gross Score, minus 100% Course Handicap.
- Event is open to EGCC Women's Division Members.
- Play from the Silver/Green Tees
- A minimum of (12) Women's Division Members must play for the Competition to occur.
- If less than (12) players, Monthly Medal will be rescheduled on an another Tuesday or Friday.
- Monthly Medal is played once a month, March thru October. (typically the 1st Tuesday of the month)
- In order to qualify for Monthly Medal, a player must have a Handicap Index of 41.2 or less.
- SCORING: Scoring is done via the Golf Genius App. Each group must input the Gross Hole-by Hole Scores for each player. Also, please turn in a a hand written scorecard with all player's scores to confirm scores with Golf Genius.
- Players must complete their Round by 3:30pm to be eligible.
- The winner is given a Monthly Medal prize selected by the Committee.
- In the event of a tie for Overall, the tiebreaker is determined by scorecard matching starting with the #1 Stroke Index Hole (most difficult hole).
- The Monthly Medal prize is paid from the general fund.
- Repeat winners of the Monthly Medal during the year shall receive a $12.00 gift certificate
MAXIMUM HOLE SCORE FOR POSTING SCORES TO GHIN ONLY
Rule 3.1b - For a player with an established Handicap Index, the maximum score for each hole played is limited to a net double bogey, calculated as follows:
PAR OF HOLE + 2 STROKES + ANY HANDICAP STROKE(S) THAT THE PLAYER RECEIVES ON THAT HOLE*
(*or minus any handicap stroke(s) that a plus handicap player gives back on that hole.)
For Example; a player with an 18 course handicap:
Par (4) + Two Strokes (2) + Stroke(s) received (1) = Max Score (7)
